G&W Products is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Fairfield, OH
- This position will support an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close by posting standard journal entries, preparing necessary non-recurring journal entries, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- You will prepare, analyze, and report contribution margin by customer and product.
- Identify, understand, and explain key variances by customer, product, and department.
- Recognize areas for improvement in cost accounting system to ensure accurate cost data.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Work with engineering and manufacturing personnel to resolve variances and adjust Bill of Materials and process routings as necessary.
- 3-4 years accounting experience with a solid understanding of manufacturing operations, general ledger, inventory, cost accounting, and financial analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Understanding of US GAAP as it applies to a manufacturing environment.
- Hands on experience with an integrated ERP system
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to analyze data, draw conclusions, interpret results, and make recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookup functions and graphing.
